Coach Ford & Middle Baptist Church Basketball Camp
A Message from
Pastor & First Lady Basken

For thirteen years the Sylvester Ford and Middle Baptist Church Basketball Camp has kept boys and girls off the streets and in a safe learning environment. There are 3 sessions which began June 8th and will conclude on June 26, 2009

Our goal at Middle Baptist Church is to focus on four aspects which we feel are essential for the spiritual growth of a church. They are:
· Worship
· Evangelism
· Christian Education, and
· Community Service

In addition to being focused on the above list, as a church, we also encourage each member to find a specific ministry and to become involved. This is vital if we are to promote the Word of God and increase His kingdom in this world.

"Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many." Matthew 20:28

It is the responsibility of Christians to minister and to bring souls to Christ.

We invite you to worship with us each Sunday at 11:00 a.m. At 9:30 a.m., we offer Sunday school classes for all age groups. If you do not have a church home, we invite you to become a part of our family.

“We are small enough to know you and large enough to serve you.”

Middle Baptist is located at 801 Whitehaven Lane, Memphis, Tennessee. More information is available by calling the Church Office at (901) 396-0191.

Mother-Daughter Luncheon

The women of Middle Baptist Church starts preparing their minds spiritually, for what is to come during Women’s Month. The first event each year is the Mother Daughter Luncheon which took place on Saturday, May 2, 2009, at 11 am in the Family Life Center. The theme for the occasion was“…Honour Thy Mother...” The scripture is Deuteronomy 5:16. Sisters Dovie McKnight and Mary Martin are the chairpersons for this event.

During the Luncheon, Sis.
